Tom joined the healthcare sector in July 2020, initially working as a receptionist at Seaton Park Medical Group before moving to Gas House Lane Surgery in late 2021. Recognizing their passion for technology, Tom quickly progressed through roles as the practice Digital Champion and Digital Lead, culminating in their promotion to IT & Operations Support Officer in January 2026.
Tom is deeply passionate about creating accessibility in healthcare, working hard to ensure patients have seamless digital access to their own health records. For Tom, the best part of working at Gas House Lane is the lovely, kind interactions with our patients, alongside a supportive team that makes coming to work a dream.
Outside of work: Tom is an avid cyclist. You’ll often spot them cycling around Northumberland with their favorite co-pilot—their Border Collie, who hitches a ride in a specialist dog backpack!
